The International Internship Program within the Faculty of Business and Information Technology (FBIT) offers students the opportunity to engage in a contracted learning partnership with businesses around the globe.
The International Internship Program not only provides students with an opportunity to apply classroom concepts to the challenges of organizational life and businesses abroad, but also helps them gain valuable and relevant work experience to promote networking and lifelong career success.
Students may apply for specific opportunities offered by the faculty or, with approval, may source their own international internship placement. Funding opportunities are available!
INTERN IN AUSTRIA
Are you an entrepreneurial-minded student interested in gaining international work experience before graduation? Are you currently enrolled in one of FBIT’s IT programs (Game Development and Entrepreneurship or Networking and Information Technology (IT) Security)? You may qualify for an exciting internship opportunity in Hagenberg, Austria!
Our partner university, the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria, is currently recruiting IT students from our university for intern positions within small startup companies in the Softwarepark Hagenberg: a successful technology park where research, business and education collaborate.

Placements vary in length but are typically between two to four months in duration. They take place during the Spring/Summer term (between May and August). Successful applicants are matched to a hiring company based on skill set.

PROPEL YOUTH FORWARD WITH EQWIP HUBs
Commerce and IT students could earn internship credit for amazing international volunteer opportunities through EQWIP HUBs, an new development project powered by Canada World Youth and Youth Challenge International. The best part? You can apply for funding to help cover costs!
Up for a challenge? Volunteer opportunities with EQWIP HUBs will take you to one of 17 youth innovation spaces across Bolivia, Ghana, Indonesia, Peru, Senegal and Tanzania, to collaborate with determined young people and address the pressing challenge of sustainable youth livelihoods.
Placements vary in length, but are typically between three and 12 months long. Once you arrive to your placement, you will work side-by-side with EQWIP HUBs staff and partners to offer the specialized training and support needed to help local youth launch a career or business. Positions for FBIT students can include:
